This website is to assist you with living in a community environment, and also to advise you of your rights and responsibilities as a member of the Body Corporate. We all want to live in harmony in this unique and beautiful part of the Gold Coast, which is our special part of paradise, and therefore we all need to understand and respect the by-laws which make this possible.

The Montego Residences Complex is situated in the area known as Runaway Lagoons between Pine Ridge Road and the Coombabah Wetlands. It incorporates a large man-made lake, (formerly Cable Ski Recreation Park) parklands, two gated-unit complexes and individual housing. This area was developed by Australand. The design of the houses in both Montego and Laguna complement the water location and respect the natural beauty of the Coombabah Wetlands. The Montego Residences is part of a layered scheme which consists of The Montego Residences, Laguna and the Principal Body Corporate (which is responsible for the lake and the land adjoining the Coombabah Wetlands).

Each scheme has its own Body Corporate, of which every owner is a member, and elects a committee to oversee the day to day running of the complex and ensure that by-laws are enforced. The Resident Manager (Mr. Grant Huston), is the owner of the Management Rights for each scheme and is responsible for all maintenance and upkeep of common property and infrastructure.

 

Your elected Committee is consistently being made aware of Owner and Body Corporate responsibilities and changes that may affect owners. The Committee will be able to share information through this medium.

The Committee hopes that this community website will keep residents informed and updated as to their responsibilities, and will be an opportunity for residents to offer trades and services locally, e.g. hairdressers, electricians, motor mechanics etc. through our pages.
